We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Dave on machines you own or control, for as many seats as your plan covers. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the application.
Every account starts with 100 clips analyzed free. No payment details are required to start, and the trial does not convert to a paid plan on its own. When the free clips are used, analysis pauses until you choose a plan.
Paid plans are billed in advance on the cycle shown at checkout and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
Prices exclude tax unless stated. If a payment fails, analysis pauses until the balance is settled. Your local library and analysis results are never deleted for non-payment.
If Dave does not do what we said it does, write to support@meetdave.app within 30 days of purchase and we will refund the current period in full.
Your footage and your responsibility
You keep all rights to your footage. We claim no ownership or licence over anything Dave reads or writes.
Dave renames, moves, and writes metadata to files on your disk. He only does so after you approve a run. Keeping a backup before a large organize run is your responsibility, and we strongly recommend it.
You are responsible for having the rights and consents needed for the footage you analyze, including where people are identifiable.
You may not use Dave to process material you have no right to, to build a surveillance or identification system targeting people without their consent, or to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the models the application ships with.
We may update Dave, change features, or retire them. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan does, we will tell account holders in advance. Roadmap features are not part of what you are buying until they ship.
Dave is provided as is. Automated analysis is a judgement, not a guarantee, and you should review changes before relying on them.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. We are not liable for lost footage, lost profits, or consequential loss.
You can stop using Dave and cancel at any time from your account. We may suspend or end a licence that breaches these terms, and will tell you why. Your local library and the files on your disk remain yours and untouched.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions go to legal@meetdave.app.
